Need to know
Briefings begin 10:00 AM, but dates may change so as to not conflict with other events. Check with Dive Friend’s as the date approaches. The sponsors provide free air and a potluck BBQ after the dive. Please bring a dish to share. If you aren’t already registered with Dive Friends you must bring a copy of your certification card when you sign-in. A liability waiver is also required at the time of sign-in. Check for the exact meeting location of the next clean-up.
Who participates in the dive clean-ups?
A hundred or more diver volunteers regularly participate. You do not necessarily have to be a diver to take part or volunteer your time. On-land support is needed to sort and count the debris that is removed from the sea. This event attracts locals and tourists.
What to Bring in addition to your dive gear:
- your Bonaire Marine Park tag
- your dive certification
- a dive knife or shears to remove fishing line
