This was the 2nd visit to Bonaire for my wife and me. The first time we stayed at a B&B;, but this time we wanted to have our “own” place where we could cook and prepare some of our meals ourselves. The place is only 3-4 minutes from the airport and Marji met us there at 5 in the morning, and she was very helpful and answered all the questions we have about the place and the island in general.
The apartment is in a nice and quiet complex and definitely not a tourist place. You can hear some air traffic, but that is not that frequent and didn’t bother us at all. They have a dive shop on site that we used and that was convenient and they gave us a 15% discount on air since we stayed there. The apartment is about a mile from “downtown”, so we had no problem walking into town for dinner.
The apartment was nice, clean and felt very open and light. The balcony with the table and chairs was nice for breakfast or dinner, with a peaceful view over the canal. The place had a washing machine and a full kitchen, with coffee maker, blender (Margaritas with the local Tequila) etc.
Overall we had a great stay in Bonaire and the freedom of your own place is great. We would highly recommend this apartment.
